Nuwave’s range of infrared ovens have been hugely popular sellers over the last few years but if you are looking at buying one today you might be wondering which one to go for. These ovens have been really popular for a number of reasons. They are much faster than regular ovens, they use far less energy, they cook more evenly and they are much more accessible so ideal for the elderly.
There are so many different models now it is almost impossible to choose one! With that in mind, we decided to give you a rundown of what models are available, the difference between them and which one we think you should buy.

1. NuWave 20631 Oven Pro Plus, Black
Let’s get going with one of the most popular models. On the image, this looks smaller than some of the other models but that is because it doesn’t come with an extender ring. You can buy these separately if you want to make your Nuwave oven slightly bigger. They look a bit less sleek with the extender rings in place but if you have a larger family you may need to consider getting one. Some models come with the ring in place so keep reading to find out about those models.
This model features advanced digital temperature controls, which allow you to cook between 100°F and 350°F in 1-degree increments, as well as new cooking functions such as Warm and Delay.
2. NuWave Oven Pro Plus with Stainless Steel Extender Ring
So here is one with the extender ring included. As you can see it does affect the way the product looks quite a lot but it does add vital cooking space.
Apart from the ring this is exactly the same as the model above and has all the same features. It also comes with the upgraded amber PEI dome. As you can see from the image it gives the dome a yellow look, not as nice as the clear dome in our opinion but it is a stronger and shatterproof upgrade.
Like all of these ovens, you can expect to be cooking 70% faster than your normal oven whilst using 75% less energy. Not bad for an oven that costs a fraction of the price of a regular oven.
This model is also available in red.
3. NuWave Countertop Elite Dome Oven
This is the Elite model. It does, of course, do everything the above models do but it has some extra features to it as well.
First up this one can cook to higher temperatures than the standard model, going up to 420 degrees F, as opposed to the standard models 350. Despite this it manages to use less energy on average than the base model, boasting 85% energy savings compared to a standard kitchen oven. This is 10% more than the standard Nuwave ovens shown above.
As you can see in the image this one has quite a few more buttons on the top. This is because it has a variety of programmable features.
You can bake, broil, barbecue, roast, grill, steam, sear, air-fry, dehydrate and even sous-vide, all at an increased cooking speed.
Is this worth the upgrade over the regular version? Well, it doesn’t cost that much more and crucially the temperature goes quite a bit higher. This increases the versatility of the product quite a bit. Plus it saves more energy and has a lot more convenience in the controls with the pre-programmed buttons.
Other Models
There are other slight variations out there when you shop around which is what makes buying one of these ovens so confusing. However, they are all pretty similar and us listing more models here for you to read about would be a waste of time. The above models are what you should be focusing on.
Functionality wise they are all pretty much identical with the exception of the Elite model listed at number 3. Even then it is very minor changes. The main decisions you are going to have to make are do you want the extender ring and what color do you want to buy. Keep in mind the extender ring can be bought separately at a later date.

Hi, I really appreciate this site it has helped me many times as I shop for the best for my needs. But I am disappointed not to find a review on my current air fryer(oven) I purchased a countertop power air fryer pro a couple of years ago and while I love the way it frys things like french frys or breaded chicken patties there are other things I do not like or do not understand about it. So it has more limited use then what I had envisioned when I did purchase it. I am looking at your Nu wave “bravo” oven but unless I know for sure that it is better I (much to my husbands relief) purchase replace my current oven. thank you for your help.
